Coll’s Cocktails: Apple Cider Bourbon

If you know me, you know I like a good drink. I’d love to feature some of my favorite adult beverages on a monthly basis. This is the first annual edition of Coll’s Cocktails! (I feel like this is something I’m going to be saying almost every post this first month of blogging. I apologize if I sound like a broken record!!)

Since it is Fall I thought I would start with one of my current favorite Fall drinks.

Apple Cider Bourbon

Apple Cider Bourbon 10.30.16

  • 4 oz apple cider
  • 2 oz bourbon
  • cinnamon sugar
  • orange
  • rosemary sprig
  • ice
  1. Toss some cinnamon sugar on a plate. You can use premixed cinnamon sugar from the baking aisle of the grocery store or you can make your own by mixing 2 parts cinnamon and 1 part sugar.
  2. Run an orange wedge around the lip of your cup. Then rub the lip of your cup on the cinnamon sugar plate to make a yummy rim.
  3. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, combine the cider and bourbon and give it a good shake.
  4. Pour into your cup and garnish with your orange wedge and the sprig of rosemary. We all know the rosemary is what gives the cocktail its street cred.
  5. Enjoy and repeat!

You can skip the rim and the Rosemary if you are just trying to keep things simple and it’s still delish. Bourbon just warms my soul right up. This is the perfect seasonal drink for Thanksgiving gatherings or just curling up on the couch on a Friday night. What are you guys warming your souls up with this Fall?
